The evening will commence with the Milwaukee Black Political Power Tour, kicking off at 5:30 p.m. This gathering will provide a platform for community members to come together, connect, and explore strategies for driving meaningful change.The main focus of the event will be "Advocating for Change – Addressing Violence Against Black Women in Wisconsin." This critical topic will be examined through the lens of a distinguished panel, moderated by Christina Carrega, the national criminal justice reporter at Capital B.

The panel will feature a diverse array of voices, each bringing a unique perspective to the conversation. Sheena Scarbrough, the mother of Sade Carleena Robinson, will share her personal experiences and insights, shedding light on the challenges faced by Black women and their families.Joining Sheena will be State Representative Shelia Stubbs, who has been a tireless advocate for the creation of a Missing and Murdered African American Women and Girls Task Force. This initiative aims to address the alarming rates of violence and disappearances within the Black community.Additionally, the panel will include State Representative Dora Drake and State Senator LaTonya Johnson, both of whom have been instrumental in driving legislative change and amplifying the voices of those affected by violence. Chandi LeSure, a supporter of Sade Robinson's family, will also lend her expertise and personal experiences to the discussion.
