The security footage from the Redan Recreation Center in Lithonia on September 13th shows an unidentified man exiting a dark, four-door sedan, possibly a 2008 to 2012 Chevy Malibu. The man then proceeded to untie the two dogs, a medium-sized, black, mixed breed, and a medium-sized, brindle, mixed breed around nine months old, and leave them behind. Tragically, one of the dogs, the medium-sized, black, mixed breed, did not survive the ordeal, succumbing to the severe injuries sustained during the horrific incident. The other dog, the medium-sized, brindle, mixed breed, was fortunately rescued and is currently under the care of DeKalb County Animal Services and Lifeline Animal Project, receiving the necessary treatment for its severe injuries.
